Dry Your Hair Naturally

PKMH Recommends

Want to make the move from blow drying your hair to air drying on a regular basis? Congratulations for making the better decisions for your hair's sake. The best approach to dry your hair is to let it air dry.

Blow dryers may be a lifesaver for a lot of people, especially when they need to leave the house. If you use your blow dryer on a regular basis, your hair is in danger since the heat it emits can dry it out and damage it over time. Drying by air is a better option. While letting your hair air dry after a wash has been a tradition since the dawn of time, air drying takes it a step further and treats it with caution to ensure that hair remains healthy and true to its original texture.

6 detailed methods of how to dry your naturally

  1. Using a towel, pat your hair dry. Use a microfiber towel or an old, clean t-shirt if possible. All hair types benefit from the softness and gentleness of microfiber towels and t-shirts. They are less prone than a standard towel to snag, shred, or tear your hair. Frizz can also be reduced by using microfiber towels and shirts.

  2. When your hair is about half dry, detangle it. You should always use a wide tooth comb for it. Starting at the ends of your hair and working your way up to the top, work in small pieces. Unless your hair is fully tangle free, never comb straight down from the roots.

  3. Toss on your preferred hair spray. You can add gel for more grip or cream to smooth away frizz and dryness to dry your hair like a pro. For further volume, a small amount of lightweight mousse can be added.

  4. Before your hair dries, style it in the desired style. Comb your hair in the direction you want it to go as you comb through it. For example- you can curl a few portions of your hair, straighten it with a comb, or fluff it out at the roots to add volume.

  5. Wrap a towel around your shoulders to dry it.

  6. Wait till your hair dries out, then style it if necessary. Apply a little styling cream or gel to your hair once it's completely dry. You can use a small amount of hair oil if your hair is prone to frizz. Put a small amount of product in your palm and comb it through your hair with your fingers.

Neither air-drying nor too much blow-drying your hair is good for it. Combining the two is the greatest method to keep your locks lush and healthy. Allow your hair to air dry for 70-80 percent of the time before blow drying until totally dry. This procedure will keep your hair appearing smooth and styled while also keeping it healthy.
