Grooming Habits That Men Should Follow…

PKMH Mens Grooming Tips

Well-groomed men are no longer a rarity. Most men are now willing to take the time to groom themselves to keep themselves looking sharp. From interviews with job recruiters to networking events, it seems that being well groomed is seen as a positive and necessary trait in one’s personal and professional life.

This article covers the top 8 such habits of keeping yourself well groomed, including how to achieve a well-groomed appearance.

1. Beards

Beards are trending, and for good reason. They can add depth and character to your face. Well-groomed men should know how to properly maintain their beard. Here are a few tips to get you started. First, you should trim your beard. This doesn’t mean that you need to shave it off. What it does mean is that you should keep your beard short enough so that it doesn’t get in the way of your daily activities.

2. Haircuts

Haircuts are a rite of passage for many men. You might even say that it is in our blood. While some might get upset over a haircut, it is best to approach it with an open mind. Depending on the haircut, you might actually like it better. A well-groomed man has his hair cut regularly.. Depending on your lifestyle and the frequency with which you wash your hair, you may only need to get a haircut once a month. If you have a particularly busy schedule, you may need to get a haircut every two weeks. If you have coarse, curly hair, a buzz cut can help you save time in the morning.

3. Change out of work clothes before going out

Depending on where you work, you may end up wearing clothes that smell like smoke or grease. Although it is important to take care of your personal hygiene, it is also important to change out of work clothes when you leave the home after office. This can help you avoid looking like a slob when you are out with friends or on a date. Depending on the type of job that you have, you may be required to change into a suit or other formal wear when you leave the office.

4. To smell good in summer, spray more than just your skin

When you’re planning to be outside for a while, whether that’s at the beach, in a park, or just hanging out at home, make sure you’re wearing something that’s comfortable and suitable for the weather. In hot weather, you may want to up the ante and add a cologne or perfume with a more aquatic scent. It may sound cliché, but you really are living your best life when you smell go.

5. SPF. Everyday

The sun is strong, and it will do anything to get a hold of you, from burning your skin to melting your hair. To protect your skin from the sun, you can apply sunscreen before you head outside, wear a sun hat, stay in the shade when possible, and wear clothes that block the sun. You can also protect your skin from sun damage by wearing sunscreen every day. Select a moisturizer with SPF if you want extra protection.

6. Condition more, shampoo less

You would assume that a well-groomed man would have great hair, but that’s not always the case. Conditioner is a “treatment” for your hair that can prevent damage caused by heat styling tools like flat irons and curling wands. Not only that, but it can also give your hair volume and texture, making it feel and look healthier. To get the most out of your conditioner, apply it to your hair while it’s still slightly damp. That way, it will have a better chance of penetrating the hair sh

7. Swap out your razor cartridge every 6 shaves

You don’t need to buy a new razor every time you replace the cartridge. If you have a more expensive cartridge, you can simply swap it for an inexpensive one when it starts to show signs of wear. Or, if your razor is still in good working order, you can use it until it’s no longer sharp. However, it’s best to swap out your razor cartridge every 6 months. That way, you’ll always be using a fresh, sharp blade. However, before you do, be sure to clean your razor under the tap to remove any excess hair and residue that may be clogging up the blade.

8. Get a new toothbrush every 3 months

Your toothbrush should be replaced every 3 months, or as soon as it shows signs of wear. That way, you’ll be able to get a new one each time and get rid of any bacteria that may have accumulated in the old one. To make sure you get a new, clean toothbrush each time, simply fill a glass with water, place the old toothbrush in the glass, and let it sit for at least 24 hours. If the toothbrush doesn’t contain bacteria, the water will be clean enough for use. (Note: Don’t leave your toothbrush in the glass for longer than a week. Otherwise, the bristles might become soft and lose their effectiveness.)

Grooming oneself is not something associated only with an occasion anymore. Daily grooming habits have become a part of one’s daily lifestyle. And we at #pkmh say why not!
