This need to set out beauty regime right requires not only a quick fix but some quick terminology to get our point across.
Check out which beauty slangs of the modern era are in the running and why we accept them more than ever before. Here are the 12 terms for a year full of grooming rituals of the modern century.
1. STROBING

Strobing means 'extreme shine' and is one the 'hottest' form of makeup techniques.
In order to accentuate faces, the technique uses shimmery colours of highlighter, giving the illusion that the skin is contoured without necessarily highlighting the features.
2. CUT CREASE

The cut crease makeup technique helps the eyes look brighter, widening it with a few clever tricks just above the natural fold. The cut crease combines a lighter shade of eyeshadow application with a line (or “cut”) across the middle crease of your eyelid.
As such, by providing the feeling of additional dimension, it shows off and broadens the eyes.
3. MULTI MASK

Different skin regions have different needs, such as dry under-eyes, blemish-prone lips, and oily nose. Consider multi-masking: It is the wonderful chance to simultaneously treat different places with different needs. Multi-masking entails using more than one face mask at the same time.
4. DUPE

A shortened form of duplicate. In the makeup world, dupes are less expensive products that have a similar finish or shade as compared to a more expensive, luxury counterpart.
5. BAKING

Baking is a procedure focusing on the area of the under-eye. It includes adding translucent powder and leaving it on for 15 minutes, while utilising the heat from your skin before gently brushing it off to set up your base and concealer. This makes the under-eye makeup look and last longer.
6. RING LIGHTS
It is no mystery that lighting creates all the change when it applies to taking the right shot or a mirror picture. All you require for the clearest images and videos with the finest filters, is a high tripod to play around in your space or a table ring light for your makeup.
7. HITTING PAN

Hitting pan is a phrase used to define finishing or almost finishing an eyeshadow, an eyeshadow, blusher or compressed powder.
8. BB AND CC CREAM

A hydrating makeup that's perfect for dry skin is BB and CC cream. It is like a tinted moisturiser, but with additional properties such as brighteners and mineral SPF for skin protection.
BB is short for blemish balm
Cc is short for colour control or complexion corrector
9. HAUL

A beauty haul is described as an abrupt dumping of fresh beauty items out of your beauty bag, accompanied by a show-and-tell. This has been made famous by vloggers for their fans.
10. HOLY GRAIL

A Holy Grail term signifies your beauty item "holy grail" i.e. something so important to your skincare routine and/or lifestyle that you would rather get driven over than have it withdrawn.
11. TIGHTLINE AND WATERLINE

Tightlining involves making a very thin line with your eyeliner that holds close to the lashline, leaving no room between the lashline and the liner. Your liner lies pretty much under the lash hairs while you tightline. One can achieve a natural lash liner look with gel eyeliners, or pencil eyeliners.
12. NONTOURING

Rather than using shadows and highlighting on parts of the skin to contour, you just use highlighters to enhance the face for a new, dewy finish. It's essentially strobing by another term.
