POST CELEBRATION SKINCARE

PKMH Skincare Tips

We are just done with the new year weekend and even though most of us kept the celebrations down and low, we did dress up and make the most of the special occasion.

One too many flutes of champagne, interminable cheese buffets, and foggy late nights aren't the only causes of post-party difficulties. Our skin takes the burden of us flitting like social butterflies—and appearing like one as well—in addition to feeling like a lifeless zombie the next few days. But, oh boy, all that heavy makeup all day, every day can wreak havoc on your complexion.

So, what's a lady to do in this situation? Of course, a comprehensive beauty detox entails saying goodbye to all heavy cosmetics, as well as nourishing your skin to bring it back to life. Are you stumped as to where to begin?

Here's how to revive your skin in no time:

1. The Makeup Removing Process

Gatorade for a quick energy boost; then, get ready to wash away the remnants of yesterday night's revelry off your face. Start your hands on a bottle of micellar water or some good ol' Coconut Oil and get to work. To boost circulation and cell stimulation, use a good exfoliator afterward.

2. Hydration

It may seem clichéd, but trust us when we say that hydration is the best treatment for your skin concerns. It's easy to tell if you're hydrated by looking at your skin. If you drink at least 7-8 glasses of water every day, you will most likely have healthy and bright skin. It's not too late if you didn't drink enough water while partying. If you're too lazy to drink water on a regular basis, you can set reminders on your phone.

3. Scrub All The Dirt Away

You should exfoliate your face after removing your makeup, especially around the T-zone. It's especially essential for people with sensitive or acne-prone skin. Massage your face in circular strokes with a mild face scrub. It will aid in the removal of all dirt and impurities from the pores, leaving you with clear, healthy skin.

If you wear cosmetics on a daily basis, exfoliation is also necessary. Pat your face dry after cleaning away the dirt. DO NOT RUB UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

4. Face pack

We don't realize how much damage we're doing to our skin when we use a lot of makeup. Treat yourself to an excellent moisturizing mask to replenish all the nutrients your skin has lost over the last few weeks. Begin up, put on a mask, and get glowing!

5. Take Care Of Your Puffy Eyes

People often overlook their eyes in the midst of all their face care. Always keep in mind that all gatherings and stress have the same effect on the eyes. If you don't take good care of your eyes, you'll end up with swollen and red eyes. Teabags should be used to avoid such a circumstance. Yes, you read that correctly. 2 tea bags, steeped for around 5 minutes. Place them in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes after that. Squeeze the extra liquid out of the tea bags, and they're ready to use.

Apply the bags to your eyes or beneath your eyelids and keep them on for 15 to 20 minutes. It will aid in the reduction of puffiness. You may also use this hack to relieve swelling and soreness after a long day at work. However, if the puffiness does not go away, you should see your doctor.

6. Exercise

It's practically a certainty that you've been slacking on your workout programme in recent weeks. But now that the season is over and everyone is back to work, it's time to get back into shape. You can begin with simple workouts such as walking and cycling and gradually progress to more challenging training sessions.

Go for a stroll or perform some power yoga to sweat off the toxins. Your skin will reward you if you use this skin care advice.

7. Lip Balm should be used

Your lips, like your eyes, require constant hydration. Lipsticks may make your lips seem pleasant and vibrant, but they can also dry them out. You obviously don't have chapped or dry lips. After you've taken care of your face and eyes, add lip balm.

But what if you want to add a little color to your pout? In that situation, lip tints are a good option. It will moisturize the lips while also providing a hint of color.

8. Healthy Meals

What you put into your body will undoubtedly reflect on your skin. The value of a nutrient-dense meal cannot be overstated. It's time to make up for all the pastries, baked cookies, and wine you've had over the last few days with fresh fruits and green veggies.

9. Enoug Sleep

When we go to back-to-back night parties, we don't realize how much sleep we're missing out on. It may not seem like a huge concern at the time, but if you don't get enough sleep, it will show up on your skin in one way or another. The science behind it is simple: when you don't get enough sleep, your body doesn't create enough melatonin, which is essential for cell regeneration and is thus a requirement for good skin. It's time to make up for missed sleep, but do so carefully!

10. Pamper Your Skin

A face sheet should be kept in your luggage. Pamper yourself with a decent skincare regimen whenever you get a break from your demanding schedule.

Following this skincare routine after any celebration will help your skin to shine and rejuvenate.

When it’s come to the adage #newyearnewme let it start with your skin… after all we believe great skin is the only Instagram filter you need!
