WHAT IS YOUR SKIN TYPE?
A Personal Guide Towards Skincare

It’s quite evident as to why one needs skin care but knowing that isn’t enough. The right step to begin with is to understand and analyse your skin type and the particular care it needs. Being the largest organ of your body, the skin is as intelligent as your other vital organs. If you do not use skin care according to your specific skin type, it may worsen the conditions. Therefore, it’s important to take time and analyse your skin’s specific needs and choose the apt options for healthier, radiant and glowing skin. You need to begin with determining your skin type followed by the skin care regime it needs.
The two efficient ways to determine your skin type:
1. The Bare Face Method

Begin this method by cleansing your face with a gentle faces wash. Leave it with no product and patent drive. Allow it to drive for about 30 minutes before starting your skin test. If your skin feels tight or past when you try to smile, you presumably have a dry skin. If you notice a slight shine on your nose and the high points of your forehead, you are most likely to have a normal skin. But if you notice excessive shine on your nose forehead and cheeks you probably have an oily skin.
2. Blotting Test

You may not have ample time to try the bare face test, but you can always go for the blotting method which is quicker and easier. Just take some blotting paper and gently pat on your face and wait for 2 minutes. Then take off the sheet and check how oily it is. If there's no oil on the sheet, then you most probably have a dry skin but if it is otherwise, then you presumably have an oily skin. Also, if it is just a bit then you are most likely to have a combination or a normal skin type.
Skin Types:
1. Dry Skin

Most people suffering with dry skin often notice flaking and visible lines around their forehead and cheeks throughout the day.
Genetics, environment, lack of hydration, diet and hormonal changes can be the few reasons for it.
